Stag's Leap Merlot, 2005
Vibrant and very drinkable, this Merlot is crafted with the same attention to detail as Stag's Leap's estate wines. For this wine, Stag's Leap used fruit from independent producers to enhance and balance estate grapes. The result is a very food-friendly wine that pairs well with anything from a chateaubriand to a juicy hamburger.

Magnum of 2008 Geyserville Wine from Ridge Vineyards
Rated a 90-92 by Wine Advocate in February 2010, this magnum of 2008 Geyserville wine from Ridge Vineyards will delight those who love zinfandels. This wine "exhibits a dense ruby/purple color along with lots of glycerin, blue and black fruits, pepper and incense ... it should last for 7-8 years." Tuck it away for just the right time and occasion.

Magnum of 2008 Lytton Springs Wine from Ridge Vineyards
This proprietary red is a blend of 74% Zinfandel, 21% Petite Syrah, and 5% Carignane. "Ripe, but not overly so, and carefully crafted with a certain claret-like polish that is the Ridge signature, this Lytton Springs bottling is a deep, very well-focused wine that keys on varietal berries with complex notes of dusty and dry spice lending a little more range than everyday Zinfandel gets. It is nicely balanced with tannins for grip but maintains its sense of finesse and composure right to the end ..., it is built to get better for several years and will hold for many more." 93 Points!

2004 Harrison Hill Yakima Valley Cabernet
"Yes" on this Cabernet, a full 92 points, according to Wine Enthusiast, which notes: "Sour cherry, rock and an almost delicate earthy quality define the entry. In the mouth it has a pleasing granularity, warmed by soft, sweet fruit, and it sits on its mid-palate flavors for a long, long time. Then, slowly, it fades into a tart, somewhat high-toned finish; hinting at wild berry, spicy plum and even a bit of tobacco." (03/07)
