About Don Reed: Don Reed was born and raised in Oakland, CA with no intention of becoming a Comedian and Storyteller, but life had other ideas. Don is an NPR Snap Judgment Storyteller of the Year and a newly minted Simon & Schuster author. His 9 solo storytelling shows have won and been nominated for multiple Theatre Bay Area, Off Broadway, and San Francisco Theatre Critics Circle awards. He was triple nominated for the 2024 BroadwayWorld San Francisco Bay Area Awards for Best Solo Performance/Best Play/Best Director. Reed was also the longtime opening act comedian for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno warming up over 1,000 episodes. He recently partnered with Johnny Carson's - Carson Entertainment Group for his multi-media one man show "The Never Too Late Show", sharing producing duties with Seinfeld writer Pat Hazell. Don is the host and creator of Marin’s Redwood Nights: Storytelling Under the Stars - sharing producing duties with friend and entertainment partner Mike Ghiringhelli.
