1 Magnum (1.5L) of 2011 Lytton Springs: Estate Grown, 80% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah

Lytton Springs has become synonymous with classic Dry Creek zinfandel. It shows potent, ripe boysenberry and blackberry, but also a pronounced rusticity and earthiness often attributed to its blending varietals; petite sirah and carignane. Acid and tannin are firm, yet not overwhelming; in youth, at least, fruit predominates. This balanced, powerful wine becomes more nuanced with age, and it often holds for more than a decade.

1 Magnum (1.5L) of 2011 Geyserville: 78% Zinfandel, 16% Carignane, 4% Petite Sirah, 1% Alicante Bouschet, 1% Mataro (Mourverde) Sonoma County 14.2% Alcohol by Volume

A remarkably consistent and elegant wine with exceptional layering, Geyserville's unique flavor characteristics are often attributed to the relatively higher percentage of carignane, added to the petite sirah found in most of our other zinfandels. Among the most age-worthy of Ridge wines, Geyserville often drinks beautifully well beyond 10 years of age.

Tasting for 8 + 2 hours of Bocce Ball at Sol Rouge Winery in San Francisco!

Sol Rouge is a family estate vineyard and winery located in the Red Hills Appellation at elevations over 1800 feet. North of Napa Valley in the foothills of the dormant volcano which formed the North Coast wine country, this land contains rich, red volcanic soil and, from this unique profile, Sol Rouge derived its name – translating to “Red Soil” in French. This 70 acre estate is currently planted with Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Counoise, Cinsault, Petite Syrah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. Nestled between Mt. Konocti and Benson Ridge in the Mayacamas Mountain range, this aggressive sight is all hillside with slopes up to 60% and is said to be the most tightly planted vineyard in the Red Hills, with nearly 6000 vines per hectare in some blocks.
