Kara’s services are provided primarily by volunteers who have experience in healing from personal loss. Our volunteers are trained to accompany others on their journey through a life-threatening illness and/or bereavement. Kara has served the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976.

I have never done a fundraising event like this before.  Those of you that know me, know well that the last year would have been much more difficult for me without the support of Kara.  I truly believe this is a nonprofit organization worth supporting.  Come walk with us, donate, or wish us well.  Thanks!  -- Amy
