Kara’s services are provided primarily by volunteers who have experience in healing from personal loss. Our volunteers are trained to accompany others on their journey through a life-threatening illness and/or bereavement. Kara has served the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976.

I am walking in honor of my Mom, Marilyn Adams. She lost the fight to cancer in 1994.

With each passing year my burden of grief has become lighter and the journey offers more reminders of the joy and love my Mother was, and is, in my life.

Walk with Me! reminds me that even on the darkest days we never walk alone. Grief is a never ending journey and Kara uniquely recognizes that even when a journey is shared it is still experienced differently.

I walk to remember and also to celebrate - join and Walk with Me.
