The human experience of death and dying affects everyone, yet we rarely discuss our emotional response to losing someone we love. In this year's Walk'n'Run to Remember, I will walk in memory of two dear friends, Marissa and Ian, who died by suicide. I am grateful for my many memories of laughter, closely-held friendships, and deeply meaningful time spent together with each of them, often with the four in our family.
Please help me raise money for Kara's grief support services. Kara serves bereaved children, teens, adults, families, and organizations throughout the Bay Area. I am inspired every day by the courage and resiliency shown by those who come to Kara for grief support and healing connections with others who understand their feelings of personal loss, isolation, and loneliness.
