Welcome to our 2022 Kara Walk 'n' Run to Remember!

I am honored to create a walking team again this year and I welcome friends and family to join and walk with me at our annual community event in Palo Alto.

This is one of the ways as a Kara board member, I love to show my support of the agency, by raising awareness about the incredible work our Kara staff and volunteers do in service of our clients and the community.

My walking team is named "We Love & Remember". You are invited to join and walk with us in person on Saturday, October 15th. This is special time to gather together, share memories and stories of those we love who have died and through sharing our stories of our loved ones, we keep them and our memories alive in our hearts!

Also, if you can't join with me in person, I still encourage you to join our team or make a donation. I would be will be honored to walk on behalf of your person (you can let me know).

I will be walking in honor of my mom, Eileen, and a dear friend and mentor, Patty Greene.

I look forward to seeing you in October!

About Kara
As a nonprofit serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976, Kara provides comprehensive bereavement support, crisis intervention and grief education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of death and loss. Guided by empathy and compassion, every day we offer caring support to children and adults and provide a space where those in grief find deep relief in the company of others. Through a time-tested and highly effective peer support model, over 200 volunteers compassionately serve children and adults on their journey through grief so they can move toward renewed hope and meaning. Services are designed to be accessible and fees are not charged for our peer-based support.  We are funded primarily by charitable donations and the heartfelt generosity of the community we serve.
