Kara COVID-19 Safety Protocol

Kara’s 45th Anniversary Fundraiser is scheduled for April 30, 2022, at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Palo Alto.  As of April 18, 2022, Santa Clara County has reported 85.6% of the population to be fully vaccinated.

In order to provide a safe environment for all attendees, Kara is closely monitoring federal, state, and local public health guidance and requirements. The Oshman Family JCC may also have special procedures in place. Kara will abide by the strictest requirements at the time of our event, including social distancing and masking guidance, if appropriate.

In order for attendees to be prepared, please note:

All attendees will be required to present at check-in either:

  • proof of full vaccination OR
  • proof of valid exemption AND a negative COVID test no earlier than 48 hours prior to the event

Acceptable proof of a COVID-19 vaccination include:

  • A CDC vaccination card
  • A photocopy of the card
  • A photo of the card on a mobile device
  • A government-issued QR code

Kara’s goal is to ensure a safe community environment. As such, all attendees are asked to abide by any prevention or safety measures that Kara, the venue, the County Health Department, or the State of California may have in place during the event.

Attendees are also asked not to attend the fundraiser if they:

  • Become ill
  • Have been directly exposed to the COVID-19 virus within ten days prior to the fundraiser
  • Exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus prior to or during the event.

We look forward to joining together in person once again for a safe and enriching celebration!
