Team Silver-lining Sundays (Liz Quinn's team) is raising money for 2020 Walk'n'Run to Remember

Kara is an incredible organization that is providing grief support services year round to those in our community who absolutely need it! 

In 2020, we are taking our Walk'n'Run to Remember virtual this year in order to keep everyone safe while still supporting an important cause.

You are invited to join my team fondly named, "Silver-lining Sundays" and walk together with us in honor of those in your life that you love and that you have lost. 

 It is when we gather together and remember the stories and memories of our family and friends that their legacy and light lives on through each of us. I welcome you to be part of our team and part of supporting an organization that makes such a difference in our community and beyond!

About Kara
As a nonprofit serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 1976, Kara provides comprehensive grief support, crisis intervention and education to individuals and communities facing the difficult realities of grief and loss. Guided by empathy and compassion, every day we offer caring support to children and adults and provide a space where those in grief find deep relief in the company of others. Through a time-tested and highly effective peer support model, over 200 volunteers compassionately serve children and adults on their journey through grief so they can move toward renewed hope and meaning. Services are designed to be accessible and fees are not charged for our peer-based support.  We are funded primarily by charitable donations and the heartfelt generosity of the community we serve.

Penny Dong

I am a new KARA Board member since June 2020 and a former client.  Kara has been a life savor for me and my daughter in our darkest hour.  I would like to see folks in our community to receive the support like we did from Kara.  No one is alone on an island!
